I loved this podcast by Dr. Mark Hyman about COVID and the preventative steps that we can take to encourage our wellness so that we are in the best place we can be if we are exposed to the virus. He takes a deep dive into nutrition that best support our immune system and our gut as well a discussion of therapies that we can use to get well and stay well. We are taking many steps in our household to stay as well as possible and to keep ourselves as resilient as possible to any virus, toxin, or illness that might come our way. We prioritize sleep and movement, we emphasize eating real food that is low in sugar and we try to laugh, love and find times where our stress levels can chill out a bit. (I have to admit that chilling out can sometimes be a challenge for me. :)) By supporting our overall wellness and by keeping our toxicity levels low, we have a say in the trajectory of our health. I love that part. I love having some sort of say or control over my health because I don’t like leaving it 100% up to chance. I like to be behind the steering wheel when and if possible.
I hope that if more people find their rhythm of wellness, then they can feel less fragile and fearful towards what might be around the next corner. I hope you enjoy Dr. Hyman’s podcast as much as I did!
