If you are looking to be inspired to the next level, Dr. Joe Dispenza is an author for you! I am not sure if it is possible not to change your thinking, or at least recognize your thoughts on a deeper level, after reading his books. These books explains, through both hard science and incredible stories, how much of an impact our thoughts have on our lives. Our thoughts actually create our lives and through concentration, we can think what we choose and in turn help create our lives.
Dr. Joe Dispenza writes his books so that they can be understood and applied. The reader has to be open to thinking outside the box, but if you are, his books present fascinating ideas. I had to get used to the word “quantum” being thrown in there as if it is a normal part of my life… :). But once I read it a few times, I embraced it and from there the revelations unfolded. Dr. Dispenza explains the science behind why we do what we do, he explains how our thoughts affect our lives, and he also gives practical tips regarding how to incorporate new habits to be the person who you believe you want to be.
One premise that sticks out to me is that we have to get our mind straight and focused on the life that we want to live in order to achieve that of which we dream. We have to be where we dream of being in our present thoughts in order to arrive there in our lives. We need to focus on those thoughts and the nitty gritty specifics of those thoughts intensely on a regular basis. It is through this intense, clear, thought and imagery process that we can bring our dreams to fruition.
I know that my synopsis may not make you are believer yet, but perhaps it was enough to make you curious and interested in reading more. When friends ask me which one to read, I recommend reading the book summaries and seeing which one sparks something in you. If your interest is peaked by one more than the other, then maybe you start there.
Evolve your Brain – According to Dr. Joe’s website this book summary starts out as, “Ever wonder why you repeat the same negative thoughts in your head? Why do you keep coming back for more from hurtful family members, friends, or significant others? Why do you keep falling into the same detrimental habits or limiting attitudes, even when you know that they are going to make you feel bad?
Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself – This one is explained as “You are not doomed by your genes and hardwired to be a certain way for the rest of your life. New science is emerging that empowers all human beings to create the reality they choose.” I have to admit that I LOVE this premise. So many of us believe that we are doomed when in fact there may be infinite possibilities instead!
Becoming Supernatural – According to Dr. Joe’s website this book is about “How Common People Are Doing the Uncommon, marries some of the most profound scientific information with ancient wisdom to show how people like you and I can experience a more mystical life.”
