A morning cup of Matcha is one of my favorite happy moments, and I think we can all use as many happy moments as possible! I used to grab any quick cup of tea in order to get a caffeine boost, but now, I appreciate my morning matcha so much more than being just a bag of boost. I don’t get to make this every morning, but when I do, I appreciate it so much and it gets my day going on an uplifting note of gratitude.
So if you have a morning that you have a little extra time to mix up a special cup of matcha, you might want to try it by combining the following:
12 ounces of steamed water or milk of your choice. If I use water, then I add a splash of coconut milk to boost the creamy factor of my final product.
1 teaspoon, (or serving,) of matcha powder (some of my top choices would be matcha from matcha.com, mercola market, foursigmatic, and pique tea.)
2 scoops of collagen powder
1 fun “add in” such as: a serving of Chaga mushrooms for wellness, a roasted dandelion root tea bag to boost my liver detoxification, a serving of tulsi tea to encourage serenity and calm energy, a shake of cinnamon for digestion, a shake of cardamon because it takes great, or a bit of honey which makes anything better.
Once I have these items steeped, I remove any teabags that I might have used during my add-ins. Next I use an immersion blender to blend my delightful matcha into a warm, creamy delicious elixir. Then comes the best part… my first sip! This is an amazing way to start the day!
